Mindfulness, Gratitude and Healthy Living – Journaling with Caroline Gardner

Mindfulness, Gratitude and Healthy Living – Journaling with Caroline Gardner

Mindfulness, gratitude and healthy living have all become part of our daily lives, especially living through a global pandemic! We don’t know about you but, it has made us realise that we should be grateful for every little thing no matter how big or small. It has taught us not to take our health for granted and that our mind is the most powerful tool in our body!

Over the years and especially in the last 6 months the art of journaling has been on the rise. So, what is journaling? If you don’t already know it involves the practice of keeping a diary/journal that explores the thoughts and feelings surrounding the events in your life. At the start of the pandemic when people started experiencing their lives being flipped upside down and experiencing emotions they had never felt before, many took pen to paper and started writing down how they felt. By putting pen to paper it helped build control and structure in a time when many had lost their sense of ‘normal.’ By writing thoughts down it helped to break down even the most daunting of tasks. It taught us to take the time each day to write down what we were grateful for and focus on goals we may have put on the back burner. Many realised by doing this and taking time to focus on the good things, helped them have a positive outlook on life.

So, with that in mind we are so excited to launch our Caroline Gardner range of journals and notebooks. Within the range are three different journals all dealing with different areas in your life and two notebooks with motivational/inspirational quotes on the front and plenty of room to write down your thoughts and feelings each day! So let us take you through each one!

Caroline Gardner ‘Sleep Easy’ Journal

Say hello to the ‘Sleep Easy’ journal. Although many of us are still working from home, routine and sleep are even more important and journaling is a great way to monitor this. The ‘Sleep Easy’ journal includes diary pages to set goals and clear your mind before bed. The idea of this journal is to clear your thoughts so you can get a good nights sleep and start the next day with more energy and a fresh approach ready for the day ahead!

Caroline Gardner ‘Live Well’ Journal

The ‘Live Well’ journal features three guided sections for mindful thoughts, fitness goals and meal planning. It is structured and helps you to try new things in little steps.

Caroline Gardner ‘Year of You’ Journal

The ‘Year of You’ journal includes 366 diary pages for daily notes, reflections and thoughts. This can be used as a day-to day to-list or you have the freedom to write all your thoughts down for the day.

Caroline Gardner ‘Make Your Own Magic’ Notebook

Thrive and Strive While Staying At Home

THRIVE AND STRIVE WHILE STAYING AT HOME

Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to it

We hope you are all hanging in there and keeping safe and well, what a weird time we are living in right now. Whether you are working from home or using the time to hit the pause button and do all those things you never had the time to do, we have the essentials you need to thrive and strive while staying at home, and adjusting to life in this new ‘normal.’

CREATE A WORK SPACE

If you are working or studying from home the best way to keep your head in the game (and get your work done!) is to create a space to work – in other words do not work from bed! Set up a nice space in the house away from any distractions and add some pretty stationary that will make you want to work. We all know that a brand new notebook makes us 1000000% more productive, right?

VIDEO CALL BUT MAKE IT FASHION

Whether you are logging into a morning conference or ‘meeting’ your girls for virtual Friday night drinks, you’re going to want to add a few mood boosting touches to your stay at home outfit! We are thinking some cool hair accessories to hide that three day old hair or some layered necklaces to make your lounge wear casual chic!

TAKE IT SLOW

Think of this time as a way to hit the pause button on life. Pour yourself a cuppa and sit back and relax. Read a book, listen to a podcast, watch a new series, recharge those batteries so that when it is time to go back to normality you will be ready, recharged and fresh to get started again.

WRITE IT DOWN

Everyone is feeling stressed and anxious during this period we are calling our ‘new normal.’ Writing about how you are feeling and getting it all onto paper can take a load of your mind and make you feel more relaxed. We have the perfect notebooks for this, whether you want to let out your creative side, journal your experience or simply create a checklist for yourself each day.

DECLUTTER YOUR LIFE AND GET ORGANISED

What better time than now to have a spring clean. Nothing is more satisfying than getting rid of things you don’t need and now really is the perfect time to dive right into it. We all have those half empty products in our make up bag, clear them out and pop them in their new instaworthy make up bag. One thing we are all going to be reaching for when we come out of isolation is our passport! Get all your travel bits together in one of our fabulous travel wallets. If your purse is anything like ours it will be full of unwanted receipts, clear them out and organise your cards into a snazzy new card holder.

ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS

I think if we have learnt anything from this time it’s to enjoy the little things in life. It has been a time where we have been allowed to stop and be present, make our health our first priority and get creative when staying in contact with friends and family. We cannot wait to get back to a little normality but for now we are appreciating that we are healthy and safe and are able to take this time for ourselves .
